How to use
- Mix the concentrate: Follow the fill lines on the specialized mix bottle to combine the concentrated conditioner with water.
- Use as a daily leave-in: Spray liberally onto your horse’s coat, mane, tail, forelock, and feathers.
- Use before and after riding: Apply to protect the coat from sweat and dirt.
- Use before rinsing: For extra protection and to prevent dry hair, apply before bathing.
- Maintain lighter coats: Apply several times a week or daily for continued whitening of lighter-colored hair.
- Use between detangler applications: Great for touch-ups before brushing. For added benefits, you can layer with your regular polisher/detangler.
NOTE:*Hydrasol spray bottles are a unique system to spray with. They are aerosol like but non aerosol. Sprays a gentle wide range mist without oversaturating the area you are treating. These bottle can wear down and malfunction with usage and time. They are available to purchase individually on this site.(we recommend buying an extra one or two, there is no warranty or guarantee on the sprayers)!!

Hydrate 24: Application methods
For manes and tails
- Mix bottle: For a more concentrated formula, apply directly to wet or dry manes and tails, leave on. Follow up with Polisher for even longer-lasting results.
- Spray bottle: Use the diluted spray formula for detangling and touch-ups in between Polisher applications and for full boy.
For the whole body coat
- Method 1 (Dry Grooming): Spray Hydrate 24 onto your applicator brush and apply over your horse’s dry or wet coat. It will pick up extra dirt and dust while leaving behind a protective shine. Finish by buffing with a separate buff brush.
- Method 2 (Post-Wash): After a wash, spray Hydrate 24 directly onto the damp coat. Buff out when dry to lock in extra shine and protection.
- Method 3 (Concentrate Method): Pour the concentrated mix directly from the bottle onto your applicator brush. Wipe over the entire horse’s coat for intensive shine and protection.
For spot cleaning:
- Apply Hydrate 24 onto a sponge to wipe away manure or other light stains.
For added protection:
- After applying Hydrate 24, buff the coat to convert the formula into a protective layer that helps repel dirt
The 4-step system for dry grooming: This process is used to clean your horse without bathing, and it helps maintain a clean, hydrated, and shiny coat and prevent stains..Step 1: Curry
- Use your curry brush to loosen dirt, grime, and shed hair from the horse’s body.
- Brush the body well in a circular motion, focusing on the fleshy, muscular areas like the neck, back, and hindquarters.
- Use a lighter touch on bony areas and sensitive spots.
Step 2: Flick- After currying, use the Blue Flicker brush to whisk away the loosened dirt and hair.
- Use short, brisk strokes, brushing in the direction of the hair to flick the debris away from the coat.
Step 3: Hydrate and wipe- Spray Hydrate 24 onto the horse’s coat using the hydras sprayer.
- Next, use the Hydrate 24 brush to wipe the coat. This action will pick up any remaining fine dust while distributing the Hydrate 24 product evenly.
Step 4: Buff and shine- Finish with the buffer brush. Buff the coat to add protection and enhance the natural shine.
Using the system with a wet wash:For a deep clean after a bath, follow these steps:- Wash and rinse your horse with Restore Shampoo and MLH conditioner.
- Remove excess water from the coat.
- Spray Hydrate 24 over your horse’s entire body.
- Use the Hydrate 24 brush to spread the product evenly.
- Allow the coat to dry completely.
- Once dry, use the buffer brush to buff the coat to a brilliant shine. The buffing action converts the Hydrate 24 into a protective layer, helping to repel dirt.
Tidbits and extra tips- Remove stains: Use the Hydrate 24 spray and brush system to remove manure and other light stains.
- Prevent rain rot: Regular dry grooming with proper brushing can help prevent rain rot.
- Maintain health: Consistent dry grooming helps to protect, hydrate, and clean the coat.
- Mane, tail, and forelock: Apply the Polisher Protector over the Hydrate 24 product only when grooming the mane, tail, feather, and forelock.
